POLISHING THINGS

Ever get that feeling you make things harder than they actually are, or is that just me, I get the feeling most stuff just seems to be me, the simple stuff that normal people grasp easily I really struggle with. Here in the blog I'll detail what and how confuses and see if maybe anyone else find's the simple things in life, that little bit difficult.

1: POLISHING THINGS

Is it just me or is it impossible to give things that fresh just polished look, glass in particular proves highly tricky. I was polishing some the other day and they seemed to end up dirtier looking then when I had started, I mean what was going wrong, is there such a thing, as too little polish, maybe too much polish, is there a defining point where I'm supposed to polish to and stop, and how do I know when that point is, is there some lesson in school I missed here.
And what are you supposed to use to polish, for glasses I try using a cloth, I tried a used one but that seemed to leave dirt and I tried to use a fresh one but that seemed to leave marks from itself on the glass. So is it one between and how in between do I need to wait, can I only polish glass in a certain cloth timeframe. What's more worrying is that if that's so how do you get a cloth to that state if you can't use it to clean, do you have seperate clothes and towels to polish and ones to dry. It all seems highly complicated.
It isn't just glass, you try polishing wood and that's impossible too. You go into shops and they have that freshly polished look to their wooden furniture but I can't seem to get that somehow. I either have lots of polish spray on and spary it and leave a stain or I don't leave a stain but it doesn't seem to polish.
Shoes as well how do they polish up, you use water and they just look wet, you use shoe polish and you get everyway but evenly spread over your shoes.
The most tricky thing is how do people get that polished look I've tried that and I can't handle it black shows up dirt, white reveals stains, my face also refuses to shine and attaches things to it like velcro.
The whole polishing thing remains a mystery to me, you'd be as well to try the highly complex task of speaking polish which seems much easier, or is that just me.
